...our most basic common link is that we all inhabit this small planet.  We all breathe the same air. We all cherish our children's futures...

~ John F. Kennedy

Speech at The American University, Washington, D.C., June 10, 1963

The Sonoran Sustainable Building Advisor Program (“SoSBAP”) brings students through an in-depth examination of the fundamental principles of sustainability. The course offers a hands-on approach to sustainability training that challenges students to recognize and understand problems, identify opportunities, and craft innovative solutions in the built environment.  Scope includes the residential, commercial, municipal, regional, and global perspectives.

Course participants apply materials, systems, technologies and best practices of sustainability sciences, moving beyond the LEED point framework towards an holistic approach to sustainability for the designed environment.
